A receiver also has to be designed in such a way that it receives all available signals.For the free-space situation, there is also no requirement to correct the time and frequency of the signals. All these advantages however may be counteracted by the fact that it is very difficult to set up such a system due to the high cost involved. But, the huge demand for these devices and the increasing performance of satellites make it worthwhile for those who want to reduce their electricity bills.Satellite antennas are commonly made up of iron, aluminum, copper, and other materials. They usually have a metal plate, where the loop of the antenna is madeup of a sheet of metals, like aluminum, and a flexible wire, which is connected with the loop. The loop is usually attached to the probe or to an air-cooled box that is placed somewhere above the surface of the Earth.With a free-space system, however, the large antennas or cylindrical structures are used to receive signals from an orbiting satellite. The problem that people encounter when it comes to high-frequency antennas is that they cannot be used by free-space receivers, because they are limited to high frequencies, which are not suitable for a free-space satellite.Antennas are either manufactured in a single piece or in sections, depending on the size of the receiver. Then they are assembled together, with the antenna plate going in between them. The devices are then connected to the antenna, which is then connected to the receiver using an adapter.Usually, the radiation received by an antenna is partially absorbed by the earth's atmosphere and then amplified by the apparatus, which helps in the conversion of electromagnetic radiation into electrical energy. The reduction in electrical co nsumption makes antennas useful for applications that require the transmission of telemetry, telecommand, and telemonitor to be performed by a special antenna that can be mounted on a mast.
